Hey folks! I recently updated my graphics driver, and ever since, my CPU has been heating up much faster than usual, reaching around 70-80°C. I'm using an MSI Leopard GP66 with a GeForce 3070 Ti and an Intel Iris Xe Graphics. I tried adjusting the power management settings as suggested in an old post, but that only brought the temp down to 50-60°C, while my idle temperature used to be around 45°C. Additionally, I've been experiencing frame drops in games when viewing certain angles or at higher resolutions. Any insights would be appreciated!

Is this laptop-based? I’ve heard that the latest drivers for 3000 series RTX cards tend to run hotter. If it's a laptop, it's likely that your CPU and GPU share a heat pipe and cooling system, so your CPU heating up might be a side effect of the GPU running hotter. Have you noticed if the cooling system is functioning well?
If that's the case, you might want to monitor your temperatures closely. There aren't many adjustments you can make on a laptop, but ensure your vents are clean and consider using a cooling pad.
Yes, it is a laptop. I thought about that too but being a laptop limits my options. I was hoping I could find a fix within the system.
