I've got an Intel i5 9600KF, and recently it's been maxing out at 100% usage when I'm playing games like Rivals and Helldivers. This leads to annoying game crashes about once every other day. I've checked the core temperatures, and they're staying below 50°C on all six cores, yet each core still runs at max load. Any tips on what I can do? Would overclocking be a good idea?

Have you checked your storage and RAM? Sometimes, low performance in games can be due to slow storage or insufficient memory, which could lead to that max CPU usage. Also, what’s your RAM setup?
If you’re sitting at around 50°C while hitting 100%, there’s definitely some headroom for overclocking. Just make sure you do your research on how to safely overclock your CPU.
Is there a reliable way to pinpoint if the CPU is the real culprit? I'm not super experienced with deep PC troubleshooting, but I can follow instructions if you help me out.
Rivals is known to be pretty CPU intensive. Overclocking could help, but you might want to consider upgrading your motherboard, RAM, and CPU if the problem persists. It could be a larger issue.
I figured it was CPU-heavy, but I wanted to narrow down the problem before upgrading a large part of my setup.
I’ve got 2 NVMe SSDs and 32GB of RAM. I'm running the Windows memory diagnostic tool to check for any issues right now.
