I have a gaming PC that's about a year old, and I'm currently running Fortnite, OBS, TT Studio, Discord, and TikTok while playing. Despite monitoring my temperatures, I don't see any overheating issues, but my CPU is constantly at 100%, causing frame drops and stuttering during gameplay. Here are my specs:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti
- RAM: 64GB (4 x 16GB) DDR5 5200MHz
- Storage: 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD
- Motherboard: B650
- Cooler: NZXT Kraken 280 Elite RGB
- Power Supply: 750W
I'm wondering if I need to upgrade something, or if getting a dedicated streaming PC is the way to go.

Double-check that your OBS is set to use your GPU for encoding. I had a similar issue when mine defaulted to CPU for streaming. Once I switched, my performance improved dramatically!
You should switch your streaming encoding to your GPU instead of the CPU. Also, having four sticks of RAM can sometimes slow things down, so consider just using two. That could free up some processing power.
Another factor could be the number of applications running in the background while you're gaming. Try to minimize those as much as possible to free up CPU resources.
Are you using an NZXT B650 motherboard? Also, make sure you're gaming at a resolution that suits your setup. What's your output resolution?
I'm outputting at 1920x1080.
I didn't realize that! Should I remove two sticks of RAM to see if it helps?
