Why is my CPU overheating even at idle?

Hey everyone! I'm facing a major issue with my CPU temperature shooting up to between 80-100°C even when I'm not running any demanding tasks. My specs include a Dark Base Pro 900 Rev. 2 case, a 360mm Silent Loop AIO cooler, an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X CPU, and an ROG Crosshair VIII Extreme motherboard. I've had this PC for about 3 years without any problems until now. The increase in temperature happened suddenly, and Task Manager shows almost 0% CPU usage. I've already reapplied thermal paste correctly with Arctic MX-6, done a full factory reset of Windows, reset the BIOS, and cleaned the PC multiple times. After shutting it down for around 30 minutes, I'm still facing overheating issues. When I check the AIO tubes, one feels warm and the other is at room temperature; however, I don't feel much vibration suggesting there might be a circulation issue. Everything is set up properly with good airflow, as I have six case fans (not counting the GPU fans). I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on what might be happening or if the pump is failing despite a bit of circulation. Thanks for any help!

It sounds like the tubes might be clogged. If one is warm and the other is cooler, it could mean that the coolant is moving, but not enough to properly cool the CPU. You might want to consider replacing the AIO.

Make sure to check your BIOS settings to see if the AIO pump is plugged into the right fan header and if you're getting an RPM reading. That might give you some hints on whether it’s working properly.

You might need to replace the AIO if the pump is dead or clogged. For reference, thermalright air coolers are pretty cheap at around $35, while an AIO usually costs around $50.
