I've been facing an odd issue with my Dell P2724DEB dock setup. We have this 27-inch monitor that connects to a second monitor using a DP cable, and the laptop connects via USB-C. Usually, everything works perfectly, but recently, the second monitor won't show any content at all while the main one works just fine. I've tried re-syncing the USB-C and DP cables, even switched out the DP cable completely, and updated the firmware on the P2724DEB, but nothing seemed to fix the issue. In a bit of luck, I tested a different second monitor, and it worked immediately! Re-plugging the original monitor also got it to display properly afterwards, which is super confusing. I've tried different laptops on the setup, so I don't think the issue is with the computers. Has anyone else dealt with this, and do you know if there's a specific cause behind it?

The P2724DEB can be quite odd sometimes. I had a related issue, but it was with the network adapter. The service manual mentioned some bizarre fixes, like not toggling the power button while connected for certain devices. It’s like you have to fully power down the system to change any connections! Makes you wonder how robust the system really is.
You might want to install or update the DisplayLink drivers. I had a similar issue where my second monitor wasn’t appearing, but once I updated the DisplayLink software, it started working again.
I'll definitely check those drivers out! I wasn't aware they were necessary. Thanks for the tip!
Haha, who actually reads the manuals, right? But that’s wild that you need to turn off the power for things like that. Sounds frustrating!
