Hey everyone! I've recently upgraded my internet package to get 2Gbps download and upload speeds, previously having 1Gbps for both. I'm using a CAT 8 cable to connect my PC to a 2.5Gbps network adapter. While my upload speeds are great and show up well in speed tests, my download speed is a mess. Instead of getting the expected 2Gbps, I'm only seeing about 700-900Mbps, and the latency has been spiking occasionally, even hitting the hundreds. I've checked my network adapter settings, run virus scans, and everything seems fine on my end. An engineer from my ISP was able to achieve the full 2Gbps on his tablet directly from the router, so I'm confused about what's causing this download issue. Any insights or advice on resolving this?

It might be worth looking into the settings of your network adapter as well. Sometimes, tweaking the settings, especially related to speed and duplex might boost performance.
Have you checked if your network adapter drivers are up to date? Sometimes, old drivers can cause issues like this. Try updating them and see if that helps.
Yes, I made sure they’re all updated. Thanks for the suggestion though!
