I've recently built a gaming PC with a Ryzen 7700X and an RTX 3070, using a B650 Aorus Elite AX motherboard. However, I'm experiencing low FPS across all games, including CS:GO, where I usually average around 300 to 190 FPS. Recently, I noticed some significant FPS dips. I remember one night that I accidentally pressed down on a cable with my foot, causing my PC to shut off. After leaving it for about five minutes, it rebooted fine, but ever since then, my FPS hasn't felt right. I'm hoping to find out what's causing these performance issues.

You might want to unplug everything and do a little cable management. Since you had that issue with the cable causing a shutdown, it could be worth checking for any loose connections. And don't worry about your CPU; the 7700X is a solid chip with great performance for the price!
Honestly, your FPS numbers seem pretty normal for your setup, especially if you're hitting around 300 in CS:GO. Maybe it's just a sensitivity issue or a miscalculation on your end. You could also try tweaking some settings in your games to see if that helps performance! But overall, it sounds like you're not doing too bad.
Check your BIOS settings and make sure that EXPO is enabled. That can really help optimize your performance. Given your hardware, the FPS you mentioned could actually be what you'd expect. It might be worth doing a few benchmarks to get more accurate readings, though.
I seem to get 50-90 FPS on RDR2 on max settings in story mode. Is that good? Also, I noticed my FPS in Fortnite dropped; could that be related to a recent update?
