Why Is My Gaming PC Running Slow?

I recently built a gaming PC and I'm a bit puzzled by the performance. Here are my specs:

- CPU: RYZEN 7 5800x
- GPU: RTX 3070Ti 8GB
- RAM: 32GB 3200mhz
- SSD: 1TB ADATA NVME
- PSU: GameMax 700W

Even when I adjust the graphics settings in games like Rust, my FPS stays around 40. I'm not sure if there's a bottleneck in my system or if I should consider selling some parts or upgrading. Any advice would be appreciated!

What resolution are you gaming at? Also, make sure your display cable is connected to your GPU and not the motherboard—those Ryzen chips don’t have integrated graphics, so you’ll need the GPU to see any performance.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll check that connection to make sure.

First off, check the GPU utilization when you’re in-game. If it’s low, then your CPU might be bottlenecking. If it’s maxed out at 99-100%, that points to a GPU bottleneck instead. Keep an eye on those numbers!
