I recently upgraded my GPU from a 5700XT to a 9070. I did a ton of research before making the switch and everyone mentioned I'd likely face a CPU bottleneck. However, I'm seeing 100% utilization on my GPU across all games. Initially, I thought it might be because of my old 800W PSU, but after upgrading to a high-quality 1050W PSU, I'm still getting that full utilization. My FPS is decent, especially since I'm playing on higher settings, but I'm starting to worry that something might be off with my system. I'm also planning to upgrade to a 1440p monitor soon. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Honestly, 'bottleneck' is such a misused term, and it's dependent on many variables. Just because some calculators suggest a bottleneck doesn't mean you'll see it in real-world applications. Your old PSU might have caused concerns, but as long as you're running games smoothly at high settings without issues, relax and enjoy your setup!
Different games will push hardware differently; some are more GPU-heavy while others hit the CPU harder. Since you're seeing full GPU utilization and decent FPS, I wouldn't be concerned. If your previous GPU showed lower usage, that's likely just the way it handled tasks. Each upgrade brings a different performance profile!
It's interesting that your research led you to believe in a bottleneck; the 9070 is a powerful GPU! Since you're getting solid FPS, there's really nothing wrong on your end. High GPU utilization is what you want; it shows the GPU is fully engaged and delivering its best performance.
Exactly! If you're worried, just remember that a lot of games depend heavily on the GPU anyway. You’re in good shape.
Having your GPU at 100% is a good thing! It means it's fully utilized, not getting held back by other parts of your system. Your FPS is what matters, and from your description, you're on the right track. Check your power consumption to ensure everything is operating as expected; that should give you peace of mind.
Upgrading to a 1050W PSU was a smart move, but it doesn't seem to be affecting your utilization at all. When you're running games on high quality settings, your CPU isn't likely bottlenecking the GPU. With a 5700X3D, you should be in great shape, and truthfully, seeing 100% GPU usage means your GPU is performing optimally. Once you switch to a 1440p monitor, it's likely the CPU bottleneck will lessen even more.

Yeah, I guess I was just stressing out because my 5700XT had a totally different performance profile.
