I'm struggling with my internet speed and it seems like it's been happening for a while across all my devices. I recently updated my Lenovo laptop (AMD Ryzen 7 5000 and a 3050 Ti), and during the updates, I noticed the download speeds fluctuating wildly. While the speed tests show peaks around 460 Mbps, my actual download speed was often hovering around 1 Mbps, dropping to zero intermittently. This has made it impossible to load pages on Opera, and I'm unsure whether it's a software issue or something else.
My apartment complex switched to Pavlov Media in February, and while the speeds improved slightly, the instability has been really frustrating. I've tried connecting via both Ethernet and WiFi, and I'm at a loss as to what could be causing this problem. If anyone has any advice, I would really appreciate it!

Honestly, it sounds like your new ISP might be part of the issue. Even though they say they provide good speeds, actual performance can vary a lot, especially with peak usage times. I’d recommend reaching out to them directly and explaining your situation; they might have solutions or could send a technician to check your setup.
I feel your pain, I've had similar issues. I noticed that my PS5 faced the same problem with download times going from mere minutes to days in just seconds! It's super frustrating when updates take forever due to fluctuating speeds. Have you tried resetting your router? Sometimes that can make a difference and help stabilize connection issues.
Yeah, I tried resetting my router, but it didn’t help either. It’s just crazy how the speed tests show decent speeds but real-time downloads are a disaster.
Thanks for the tip! I think I’ll give them a call and see what they say. It’s getting really frustrating trying to study with this internet!
