Why is my Laptop Acting Like It’s Being Controlled?

I've been having this weird issue where my laptop seems to be moving the mouse by itself every few months. It happens especially when I try to open task manager and end some tasks. It doesn't feel like someone is controlling it while I'm in task manager, but I noticed a key on my keyboard that can turn off my mic, speakers, and camera, and they were all on at that time. I'm planning to reset my PC while keeping my personal files and reinstalling Windows. Is there anything else I should do to fix this?

Have you thought about checking if the issue is with your mouse? Maybe try using a different mouse or checking if it's just your touchpad acting up. Sometimes, the touchpad can have issues too.

I only use the touchpad, so that might be the problem. I’ll see if I can borrow a mouse to test it out!

It could also be a case of paranoia. It’s a good idea to check out if there are any software glitches that might be causing this. Have you updated your drivers lately?
