I've been struggling with my laptop's performance for a while now. It feels like it's crawling, taking around 10 seconds just to open a new tab or app. When I checked the task manager, it showed CPU at 100%, Memory at 90%, Disk at 99%, and Network at 0%. That has me worried! I suspect I might have a virus, especially since there are some antivirus programs on my laptop that I don't even remember installing. I've tried deleting most of them, but some just won't let me. Since my Lenovo laptop is over 4 years old, I also wonder if its age is contributing to this slowness. Any advice on how to speed things up?

First, can you let us know your laptop model and specs? That'll help a lot. A good place to start is by checking the installed software and getting rid of anything you don't need. If you're feeling bold, a clean install might be the way to go—just make sure to back up your important stuff first!
Looking at the process manager to see what's hogging resources would be a solid first move too.
