Hey all, I'm facing a frustrating issue with my Lenovo Legion Pro 7 (model 16AFR10H). My CPU seems to throttle down to about 600 MHz unexpectedly, even when I'm not putting much load on it or when the system is idle. It usually happens under light to moderate loads, and I've noticed that while this happens, the thermal throttling system (PROCHOT) is activated, but my temperatures are completely normal—between 40 and 47 degrees Celsius for the CPU and 25 degrees for the VRM. I've updated the BIOS, AMD, and NVIDIA drivers, and everything's current with Lenovo Vantage, yet the problem persists, including when it's plugged into the AC power with the Lenovo charger. Could anyone share if they've seen this issue with Legion Pro 7 or AMD HX laptops? Is this a known problem possibly related to the BIOS or power management settings? Should I consider returning it, or are there any potential fixes? I appreciate any advice!

Man, I feel the frustration! If the system gets stuck at 600 MHz with normal temps, that sounds off. I’d suggest checking the BIOS settings for power limits and maybe reaching out for support to see if they can offer a fix. Hardware issues could be a possibility, so if it keeps happening, a return might be a smart move.
I totally get your pain! I'm dealing with a similar issue on my Lenovo Legion S7. I also noticed my CPU hitting 0.6 GHz, and when I attempted a BIOS update, I encountered a message about a vulnerable driver blocking the process. Sounds like it might be related; I’ve been trying to find a solution too. Let’s see if anyone has insights on fixing this.
It's rough to spend so much and have it performing poorly! Have you tried rolling back your BIOS or looking into the firmware settings? I’ve read that sometimes specific settings can affect CPU performance negatively.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely check those settings. Honestly, it’s just so disappointing because I was really excited about this laptop.
