I built my PC around 3-4 months ago, and after cleaning it two weeks ago, I've been experiencing an issue where the lower front panel fan (there are two fans there) sometimes just stops spinning until I reboot my PC, which temporarily fixes the problem. Also, I feel like the lower fan is spinning slower than the upper one. Here are my specs:
- AMD Ryzen 5 5600GT
- Gigabyte b550K M
- XPG Pylon 550 bronze
- Cougar Airface RGB
- Arch Linux OS (not sure if this matters)
If you need more info, just let me know! Thanks in advance.

Are the fans daisy chained together? If they aren’t, try connecting them that way. This can help determine if the issue lies with the motherboard or the fan itself—if both are acting up, it’s likely a motherboard problem. It’s also possible that your temps have dropped since cleaning, so consider adjusting your fan curve. Though that might be a stretch, it’s worth a shot!
To be honest, I'm a bit confused about how all the fan connections exactly work. I think all my fans are connected to a hub pre-installed in my case. I tried adjusting the fan speed through GCC and the BIOS, and the fan didn't stop, but I still feel like it’s spinning slower. The upper fan seems to spin more uniformly, while the lower one seems to spin intermittently. Sorry for my English, and thanks for your help!
