Why is my memory usage so high right after starting my computer?

I've been having a weird issue lately where my memory usage is skyrocketing to 80% right when I boot up my PC. After launching Discord, Steam, and a few other apps, it even climbs to nearly 98%. My specs are an Asus PRIME Z590-A motherboard, an 11th Gen Intel i9-11900K processor, 16GB of G Skill RAM, and an AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT graphics card. This has been going on for about a week, but my computer was running perfectly before that. I recently noticed during my Twitch streams that viewers complained about clicking noises, and it seems like my system is working harder than it should for simple tasks, like playing chess in the Brave browser. I've tried swapping out RAM sticks and running several malware scans with no luck. Oddly, I also experience a significant power discharge when I turn off the PC. I've shared my user benchmark link, which shows some BIOS discrepancies, but it seems off as my uptime is listed as 3.9 days despite just starting the computer.

Those power discharges you mentioned really stand out. They could indicate a hardware problem, possibly related to your power supply or how devices are connected. I suggest unplugging any unnecessary devices and see if it helps. If you've ruled out malware and other common issues, it might be time for a more systematic approach to your hardware to see if everything's okay.

It sounds like you've got quite a few things going on! First off, UserBenchMark can be kind of misleading, so I wouldn't rely too heavily on that. Have you checked if Sysmain is enabled? It's usually on by default, and it can sometimes use up more memory. Also, a clean install might not be a bad idea—it's been a year for you, right? Third-party antivirus software can also slow things down. Maybe try using just Windows Defender along with uBlock Origin for better performance.

Wow, 98% memory usage is really high for just starting up! I have 16GB on my machine, and it barely hits 25% when it's idle on Windows 11. Sounds like something is seriously off. If you haven't done a clean install recently, it might be worth considering. I get that setting everything back up is a pain, but if it's a hardware issue, it's better to rule that out.
