It's actually compatible. You might just need to do a BIOS update to get them to work together properly.

Just verify what BIOS version it ships with; if it requires an update, it’s pretty simple. Also, your motherboard supports BIOS flashback, which means you can update it using a USB drive even without a CPU installed.
