I recently bought a laptop that has a 144Hz screen, but when I check the settings, it's only showing 60Hz. Does anyone know what might be causing this issue?

You might need to change the settings to enable 144Hz. Sometimes the default is set to 60Hz right out of the box. Double-check your display settings!
Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date. Sometimes outdated drivers can limit your refresh rate. Also, if you're using an external display, check the cable you're using. Not all cables support 144Hz.
Don’t forget to check your laptop's settings too, some monitors need to be overclocked via their own menu. It might not just be a software issue.
