I recently upgraded to an ASUS B450 motherboard about a month ago, and I've been dealing with a frustrating issue: my internet speeds are abysmal. The WiFi adapter I'm using (8811CU) used to deliver around 100 Mbps on my previous Gigabyte H610M motherboard, but now it barely reaches 20 Mbps, often fluctuating between 1 and 50 Mbps. I've tested the adapter on another device in the same area, and it works perfectly fine there. I've tried a lot of fixes, including disabling power-saving options, using different drivers, formatting my PC, and even updating the BIOS. Despite searching online for solutions, I haven't had any luck getting this resolved. I'd really appreciate any help with this.

What specific model of the B450 board do you have? Knowing the exact model could help narrow down any known issues or compatibility problems.
It sounds like you might be dealing with a BIOS issue that's been reported by others with ASUS boards. It's frustrating, but you might have to look into whether there are any firmware updates available or reach out directly to ASUS support for more guidance.
I find that hard to believe, there has to be a fix for it. Have you already tried reaching out to their support team?
If you’re using a USB adapter, it's worth trying a cheap USB WiFi adapter just to see if it performs better. Also, make sure your adapter is plugged into a 2.0 port; though, you could also consider a PCIe adapter as a more permanent solution.
I tested it on both 2.0 and 3.0 ports, but the results were the same.
