Hey everyone! I've built a new PC recently, and I'm facing some frustrating lag issues. Here's my setup:
- Case: NZXT H6 Flow
- RAM: Kingston FURY Beast 32GB DDR5 6000MHz CL30 Dual Channel Kit
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9700X 3.8GHz
- GPU: Nvidia 3060 ti Gigabyte OC (this one is slightly older, about 2 years)
- Motherboard: ASUS TUF GAMING B850-PLUS WIFI
- Cooler: Deepcool AG620
- PSU: Gigabyte GP-P750GM
I did a clean Windows 11 install and everything was smooth at first. However, after a week, the system started lagging heavily during boot and desktop usage. I thought it was due to the Armory Crate software from Asus, so I removed it, but that only helped temporarily.
Yesterday, while gaming, my FPS dropped drastically, and now my desktop is struggling with a 2-3 second delay for every click! I'm not seeing any overheating or background processes draining resources. I've tried a clean install and uninstalled the Asus stuff with Revo Uninstaller, but the issue persists. I'd love recommendations for stress testing the components to figure this out. Thanks a lot!

Have you tried running some tests like OCCT for the PSU, CPU, and RAM, or memtest86 for RAM issues? Also, monitoring your temps with HWinfo64 during benchmarks could help. For CPU testing, Cinebench R23 is solid. If you suspect the GPU, OCCT has a mode for that too. Let me know how those go!
I ran OCCT for CPU and RAM for about 25 minutes, and nothing unusual popped up. Is it normal for OCCT to show 100% CPU load while Windows Task Manager only shows around 20%?
