Why is my new PC running slowly?

I just completed my first PC build and installed Windows 10. I've been busy updating drivers and checking for Windows updates, but I'm still noticing a bit of lag. I'm also trying to update the BIOS, but I'm wondering if there's anything else I should consider updating since I'm quite new to this whole process. By the way, I'm connected through ethernet. Any suggestions?

It would really help to know your PC specs. That way, we can identify if something isn't performing as it should. Also, don’t worry; it’s totally normal to feel a bit lost at first!

Sure! I'm using an ASUS B650 Plus WiFi motherboard, an MSI Ventus 2X Black 4060 Ti, a Ryzen 9 7900X, and I've got a whopping 96GB of RAM. I also have an 8TB WD HDD, but I'm thinking I should get an SSD soon. I'm still on Windows 10 but planning to upgrade to Windows 11 soon!
