Why Is My New PC So Slow?

Hey everyone! I just finished building a new PC with the following specs, but I'm really struggling with its performance. It's super slow – I can hardly open any apps in Windows, shutting down or restarting takes ages, and sometimes it even freezes. I've noticed that the SSD usage in Task Manager is constantly at 100% even when I'm not running anything. Here are my specs:

- B850 Gigabyte Eagle wifi 7
- 2TB SSD (Kingston NV2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2)
- Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- 32GB DDR5 6000MHz
- RX 9060XT 16GB
- 750W PSU First Player
- Windows 11

Any ideas on what might be causing these issues?

What kind of SSD are you running? That can really affect performance, especially if it’s not a high-speed model.

It's a Kingston NV2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2, 2TB.

You might want to consider reinstalling Windows to see if that helps. Also, ensure your RAM sticks are in the right slots for dual channel and that EXPO is enabled. Sometimes, just swapping the RAM around can make a huge difference.

The RAM is in slots A2 and B2, and I did enable XMP but removed the settings after the problems persisted.

Did you try reinstalling Windows? Sometimes the installation can get messed up and cause issues.

Have you checked if you're reusing any storage from an old build? Sometimes older drives can cause major slowdowns if they're not performing well.

Nope, I'm using a new SSD.
