Why is my new PC struggling with performance?

Hey everyone! I just got a new PC two days ago with a top-of-the-line Ryzen 9 7950x3D, an RTX 5090, and 32GB of RAM. However, I'm noticing that it's not performing as expected. I've been experiencing stuttering and freezing images in some games. For instance, in GTA V at 1440p with all settings maxed out, I get a peak of 240 FPS, but it usually hovers around 150 FPS. The Division 2 performs similarly but doesn't exceed 200 FPS. The GPU temperature maxes out at 55 degrees Celsius while the CPU goes up to 70, and it seems like it's idling at 50 degrees for some reason. Can anyone share some advice on how to improve my PC's performance?

Do you have the latest chipset drivers and BIOS? Ensuring the CPU is properly parking cores while gaming can help. Also, keep in mind that GTA V tends to struggle at frame rates over 120 FPS, so that could be part of what you're seeing. It might be useful to run a benchmark like 3DMark to compare your results with similar systems and see if you're really underperforming. Don't forget about undervolting and overclocking the 5090, especially if you're facing any power delivery issues.

I'm confident the power delivery is good; I opted for a 1500W Corsair PSU.

Have you enabled DOCP in your BIOS yet? It can significantly improve RAM performance if it's not already turned on. It's worth checking!

No, I haven't. How do I enable that?

Also, what speed is your RAM kit? If it's 6000 MHz, make sure to enable XMP to get the full potential out of it! You might be missing out on some serious performance boosts without that.

Yeah, I have 6000 MHz but I think I haven’t enabled XMP yet.
