Why is my NVMe SSD hitting 100% disk usage with no read/write activity?

Hey everyone, I have an M2 NVME MSI M480 PRO 1TB SSD. The first month of using it was great, but then my games started crashing and freezing, even though my operating system is on a separate disk. This issue keeps happening randomly, and it seems like the disk spikes to 100% usage with both read and write speeds dropping to zero. After a few seconds of this, I can't access the disk at all until I reboot my PC. I've looked at the event viewer and found error 51 along with error 50. I also tried a registry fix, but it didn't work. Any advice would be appreciated! I also have some RGB software installed on my PC.

You might want to use a tool like CrystalDiskInfo to check the health of your SSD. It sounds like it could be failing if it's showing those symptoms.

Since you mentioned that it's a 1TB SSD, how much space are you actually using? Sometimes these issues can arise when a disk is close to full. If it reports fine but is still acting up, it might actually be a faulty drive.

If you have enough RAM, try disabling the pagefile. It might help with the crashes instead of just slowing down the system if the drive is acting up.
