Hey everyone! So I've been having a frustrating issue with my PC over the last couple of weeks. It suddenly crashes when I try to boot it up with my TV connected. Once I unplug the TV, it starts working fine again. The fans spin up, but I don't get any graphics on the screen, and it even attempted some self-repair. I'm pretty sure the HDMI cable isn't at fault since it worked fine for a couple of months without any issues. I did try rolling back my graphics drivers, but that didn't help either. I've been using a 5070ti graphics card, and I'm currently on driver version 595.79. One change I made recently was switching the multi-monitor settings from 'expand' to 'duplicate' to use my TV for gaming. Now, I can't even switch it back to 'expand' because when I plug the TV back in, the screen just flashes and shows nothing. All my drivers are updated, and I'm on Windows 11. Any suggestions on what to do?

When your PC crashes, do you mean the screen goes black and you can't interact with anything? It sounds like your resolution and refresh rate settings might be causing some conflicts. What's your monitor's resolution and refresh rate compared to your TV? Just curious since they might not be playing nice together. It could also help to reset them to a lower setting temporarily to see if that gives you access again.

Yeah, crashing means the screen goes black and sometimes flashes, and I can't do anything, just have to power off the PC. My monitor's at 3440x1440p with 175hz, while the TV is 4k with a max of 120hz. They’ve always worked before, so I’m puzzled!
