Hey everyone! I'm facing a weird issue that's been really frustrating. Whenever I play animated games, like Teamfight Tactics (TFT), my game lags and eventually freezes as my ping spikes, especially during combat from level 7 onwards. Initially, everything runs smoothly, but once we hit that combat phase, it's like my PC just can't keep up. It freezes, and when I attempt to reconnect, I get stuck at 12% on the loading screen with high ping. Interestingly, when my friends stream the game on Discord, my movements still get registered even while the game is frozen.
This problem isn't limited to just my PC; my tablet encounters the same issue when playing TFT, which makes me suspect it might be a Wi-Fi problem. My gaming rig ran perfectly fine a few months ago, and I haven't changed my Wi-Fi setup since then. I even took my PC to my husband's house and played on his Wi-Fi, where everything worked well, reinforcing my suspicion about my home network.
I'm using a 12th Gen Intel i3-12100F, 16GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce 1060 6GB. I've reached out to Riot support because I initially thought it was just a TFT issue. They've suggested a few things (I won't list them all here), but nothing has helped. Here are a few things I've already tried:
- Disabled IPV6 and enabled IPV4
- Switched to a public DNS
- Cleared my DNS numerous times
- Freshly uninstalled and reinstalled the Riot client
- Made sure all drivers are updated
- Recently did a factory reset, but that hasn't improved anything
- No viruses detected according to Norton.
Any advice would be super helpful! Thanks!

Try running a speed test using Ookla. It would help to see what your ping looks like. Given your setup works fine elsewhere, the issue likely lies with your current internet connection. Maybe get in touch with your ISP and see if they can monitor your connection.
It sounds like a Wi-Fi issue, especially since your PC works at your husband's house. What Wi-Fi version are you using? Maybe you’re on the 2.4GHz band while he’s on 5GHz, which could cause that lag. You might want to check that.
This is strange! Your stats seem alright. Your ISP might help monitor your connection. If you have another PC in the house, try running a system monitor from that PC to keep an eye on your gaming rig while you play.

Yeah, it's really odd! I tried using MSI Afterburner to check during the lag and I didn't see any packet loss or VRAM spikes, just waiting for my ISP to respond now.
