Why is my PC performance so poor?

I'm having serious issues with my PC's performance and need help figuring out what's going on. I'm using a Ryzen 7 5700 G processor, MSI MAG A650BE power supply, 2x8 Corsair LPX DDR4 RAM, and a Radeon RX 7600 XT. Despite these specs, my PC runs terribly. I know the processor isn't the best, and I'm planning to swap it out for something better, but I can't run any games at a reasonable level, which seems off. I'm unsure if something is misconfigured or if there's an underlying issue. If you need more information or screenshots, I've got a specs screenshot here: [https://imgur.com/a/hUAlKvP](https://imgur.com/a/hUAlKvP).

Based on your specs, the Ryzen 7 5700 G should handle 1080p games decently. Can you describe what you mean by 'absolute crap'? Are you getting frame drops or major lags?

First off, double-check that your monitor is plugged into the graphics card, not the motherboard. Also, ensure all your drivers and BIOS are up to date. It'd really help if you could clarify what you mean by 'absolute crap' when it comes to performance.

If you’ve confirmed that the monitor is connected to the GPU and all drivers are updated, it's strange that you'd have such poor performance. Lagging like you’re on a PC from 2007 sounds really odd for your setup.
