Hey everyone, I'm feeling pretty lost with my PC issues and could really use some advice. My computer randomly shuts off, usually once a day and sometimes even twice. The shutdowns typically happen while I'm gaming, especially when I play *Football Manager 2024*. The screen blacks out and the whole system powers down like it's been unplugged. Once, I thought I saw an error message before it disappeared, but I couldn't catch what it was.
Here's a list of what I've tried:
- **PSU**: I swapped it with a new one, but it didn't change anything.
- **RAM**: I replaced it with **Crucial Pro DDR5 32GB (2x16GB) 6000 MHz CL36**, and the issue remains.
- **GPU drivers**: I did a clean reinstall, but the problem persists.
My specs are:
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 5 7500F (6 cores, 12 threads, 3.7–5.0 GHz)

Temperature readings show that my CPU is often over 60°C at idle and frequently hits 80–90°C while gaming. I'm not overclocking anything, and since the build is relatively new (from November 2023), the sudden shutdowns seem too abrupt to be software-related. Could the CPU be throttling or triggering a thermal shutdown? Or is it possibly a motherboard issue? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. It sounds like your CPU is running way too hot, especially if it’s reaching 90°C during gaming. That could definitely cause sudden shutdowns. I recommend replacing the thermal paste on your CPU to see if that helps lower the temperatures. Ideally, you should keep it below 80°C while gaming.
