Hi everyone! I've been dealing with an ongoing issue where my PC shuts down almost immediately after booting up. Sometimes it can stay on for about 15 minutes, but there are days when it runs fine all day. I've noticed that turning off XMP helps it stay on longer, but it's still problematic. The motherboard's debugger shows a red light on the CPU, which has me worried. I've already cleared the CMOS for about 10-15 minutes, tested the RAM sticks in various slots, and looked for BIOS updates. My specs are an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X CPU, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 GPU, and a Gigabyte B450 AORUS PRO WIFI motherboard with TEAMGROUP DDR4 RAM. I've had this setup since 2021. Do you think it's the PSU going bad, or could the CPU have issues? Any troubleshooting advice would be greatly appreciated!

You might also want to boot directly into your BIOS. If your idle temps are way too high, it might indicate a failed pump on your cooler. On the other hand, if they're stable around 50-60°C, it points more towards the PSU being the issue.
It sounds like you may want to check the temperature of your components. Have you monitored your CPU temps during use? Sometimes high temperatures can trigger shutdowns. If your CPU hits about 77°C before shutting down, that's definitely something to investigate further.
I haven't seen any overheating until now! I'll definitely check the temps when I get back from work.
Make sure your cooler is working properly too. If it's defective, it could cause overheating.
This seems like it could be related to your power supply. Be sure to identify which PSU you’re using specifically. Sometimes, even a 750W can have issues under load if it's not a high-quality unit.
I think I have an NZXT C-Series 750W 80+ Gold PSU. I'll confirm once I'm home!
Great choice for a PSU! But keep in mind that not all 750W units are created equal. A faulty PSU can definitely cause the problems you describe.

Thanks for the tip! I'll check that out when I get home.
