Hey everyone! I've been having some issues with my PC lately. After upgrading to Windows 25H2, it started shutting down randomly without any warning. My setup is pretty solid, with an MSI MAG Z790 TomHawk motherboard, Intel 13700K CPU, MSI RTX 5090 SUPRIM SOC GPU, and a Cooler Master MIL360 AIO cooler. I've checked all the connections and even removed and reinstalled the RAM. I also replaced the thermal paste just last night after a shutdown. Any ideas on what might be causing this?

You mentioned your PSU is a bit over two years old. A good way to check it before sending it for RMA is by looking into the Windows Event Viewer. If you see a critical error like Kernel-Power Event ID 41, that’s a red flag. Ideally, if you have another PSU, try swapping it out with your system to see if that resolves the problem. But keep in mind, there could be other hardware issues at play too.
It honestly sounds like a PSU issue to me, especially if the shutdowns are totally random. When the power cuts out like that, it could be the power supply failing and shutting down to protect itself. It’s not likely an OS issue from the Windows update since that usually causes performance drops or app crashes, not complete power loss.
There’s also been talk about CPU degradation in the 13th and 14th gen Intel chips. Make sure your BIOS is up to date. You could also try reducing the CPU clock speed in the BIOS to see if that alleviates some of the shutdowns. Setting it to something lower, like a max of 4.5GHz, might help rule out any CPU-related issues.
