I've been using Zorin Lite 16.3 and Zorin 17 Core, which worked fine overall, but I've been struggling with some persistent Wi-Fi issues. Here are my laptop specs: Intel i5-6200U, 12 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD + 1 TB HDD. My usage primarily involves attending lectures, taking notes, and doing some light coding in VS Code. I'm looking for a distro that is smooth, stable, and either beginner-friendly or customizable, as long as it looks nice and isn't buggy.

How about trying Fedora? It's pretty solid and works well for a lot of users. You might find it a good match for your setup.

If you're aiming for something stable, give Ubuntu a shot! It's got a huge community for support and should handle your coding needs effortlessly.

You might want to check out Linux Mint! It's a popular choice for beginners and has a user-friendly interface, plus great documentation. Many users report that it’s stable and has a supportive community.
