I had to install a new update for Windows 11 recently, and since then, my PC has been incredibly slow. Games lag a lot, and things are taking forever to load. I tried going into safe mode, deleting the NVIDIA drivers, and reinstalling them, which helped a bit, but the performance still isn't as good as it used to be. I've also noticed that Windows Defender is using a lot of CPU resources. What can I do to fix these issues?

It might help if you share your specs. Knowing what kind of hardware you’re running can help pinpoint the problem better. A lot of usability issues can stem from the hardware not handling the updates properly.

My setup is a 1050 Ti, i5 9300, 16 GB RAM, and a 1 TB SSD. My dual boot with Linux runs perfectly fine, so it seems like it’s just Windows causing the trouble.
