Why is my PC taking so long to download games?

Hey everyone! I recently formatted my PC and upgraded some components since my old ones were getting long in the tooth. While my internet speeds seem decent—about 80 Mbps for downloads and 24 Mbps for uploads—I'm noticing that downloading games is taking longer than it should. For example, a game like Fallout 4 (around 87 GB) is taking approximately 3 hours to download. I also have trouble with the 'Can You Run It' site; it seems to load forever and never shows me the compatibility results. Any ideas on what's going on or how I can fix this? Here are my PC specs: RTX Nvidia 4070, Ryzen 7 7700, 32 GB RAM at 6400 MHz, and a 2 TB NVMe SSD.

What browser are you using to download the games? Sometimes certain browsers handle downloads better than others. A lot of folks have had issues with Chrome and found better results with Firefox or Edge. It could be worth a shot!

I’ve been using Google Chrome, but I also tested on Firefox and Edge, and the results were pretty much the same. Maybe the site is just having some issues right now?

You're not alone in noticing slow download speeds, even with decent internet. It's normal for large games to take a while, but 3 hours does seem a bit excessive. Have you checked if your router is up to date or if there are any network congestion issues? That might help! As for the 'Can You Run It' site, sometimes it’s just down for maintenance or overloaded. Maybe try again later?
