Lately, I've been getting a bunch of alerts from Malwarebytes saying it's blocked connections to some malicious websites. Also, my VPN (Proton) keeps disconnecting, even when I'm not doing anything online, like not even using my browser. This is making me really anxious, and I can't help but think my computer might have a virus. Can anyone shed some light on what's happening or how I can fix this?

It could be lots of things, and it doesn't necessarily mean you have a virus. For example, I run a local web server, and Malwarebytes keeps blocking it. You might have a legit program trying to send info that’s just getting flagged. I sometimes turn off the web protection and just do regular virus scans to be safe, including rootkit scans. Have you tried using HitManPro? It sometimes spots things that Malwarebytes misses.
If you're worried about malware, you might want to check out some malware guides online for steps on how to deal with it. Just make sure you're following advice from a reliable source.
I had a similar issue before cancelling my subscription with Malwarebytes. The last detection I got was pretty concerning when my PC was trying to reach out to a sketchy site.
