Why is my PC’s WiFi signal so weak compared to other devices?

Hey everyone! I recently switched to a new internet provider and upgraded my plan from 500 Mbps to 1.5 Gbps. However, I'm noticing that my PC is only getting between 45 to 200 Mbps while my other devices (like my laptop) are getting over 700 Mbps with no problem. The distance from my PC to the router is about 6.5 meters, and there are no walls blocking the signal—just a couple of open doors in between. I've also tried using a WiFi repeater, but I noticed my PC's WiFi was still unstable compared to the other devices. Any thoughts on why this is happening or how I can fix it?

It sounds like you might be experiencing a weak wireless signal specifically to your PC. Even though a wired connection would be ideal, there are a few things you could try to boost the WiFi signal. For instance, consider using a USB WiFi adapter with a larger external antenna, or you might look into upgrading your router if possible. Sometimes, the hardware limits on the PC can be the issue too.

The router is brand new and uses 6 GHz, so I don't think I can get a stronger one with Bell's service. I'm starting to believe the problem is with my PC since my other devices are performing well. I'm a bit hesitant about trying a USB WiFi adapter since I've had bad experiences with them before.
