I've noticed that my phone's battery life has declined unexpectedly fast. Initially, 1% would last about 15 minutes, but now it only lasts around 8 minutes after just over a month of use. I've checked my phone's settings, and nothing seems off. I've also restricted the background activity of some apps that tend to use more power, but the battery life hasn't improved. While 8 minutes per percentage isn't terrible, I'm surprised by how quickly it has dropped. Is this a common issue with smartphones, or should I be concerned?

I think monitoring the battery drain over several hours would give you better insights into its performance.
There are several factors that could cause rapid battery drain. Have you updated your software recently? Sometimes after updates, settings can change. Also, consider whether you're following good battery practices like avoiding high temperatures and using the 20-80 charge rule. It could even be a calibration issue or a sign of a faulty battery.
It sounds like you might want to keep track of battery drainage in larger chunks instead of just measuring 1%. You might get a clearer picture of how it's really performing. Just a thought!
Totally get that. A week ago, I monitored my battery from 100% to 50%, and it lasted about 9 hours, but it only lasted 6 hours yesterday. Definitely weird!
Good point! By the way, did you buy it new, used, or refurbished? And what model do you have?
