I recently upgraded my router and switched to Cat 8 ethernet cables, but I'm still experiencing high ping—around 80ms in games like Roblox and even 160ms in competitive games. I also have a stable internet speed of 550 Mbps. Can anyone help me figure out what's causing this high ping?

Have you tried using the ping or tracert commands? It could be useful to ping your router and then ping a big website like Roblox to see where the lag might be coming from. Screenshots of that could also help us diagnose the issue better.
Your internet speed can impact your ping, but it also depends on what you're paying for. If you’re on a mobile network or even DSL, expect higher pings. But honestly, Cat 8 cables are overkill for most setups, so focus on whether you’re connected properly to your ISP.
Consider what servers you're connecting to. If you're in the USA and connecting to a server in Europe, you might face higher ping times. But if you're in Europe and using European servers, that shouldn’t be an issue. Do you know if the server locations are close?
