Why is My RAM Showing Up as 4800MHz Instead of 6000MHz?

I'm having an issue with my RAM speed. My PC boots up, and it shows that I'm running at 4800MHz, but it should be 6000MHz since I have EXPO enabled. Can anyone help me figure out what's going on?

You should download and run CPU-Z. Check the Memory tab to see your DRAM frequency. Remember, DDR means double data rate, so if you see 3000MHz in CPU-Z, that's actually 6000MHz when doubled. If it's not showing that, let us know your CPU, RAM, and motherboard specs.

I have CPU-Z from my ASUS motherboard. It says my DRAM Frequency is around 3000 MHz, but it fluctuates a bit. Is that okay? My setup is an Asus Tuf Gaming B850-Plus Wifi, AMD Ryzen 9800x3d, XFX Mercury Radeon RX 9070 XT, and G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 32 GB (2x16) DDR5-6000 CL30.

Make sure XMP is enabled in your BIOS settings. Sometimes it doesn’t get applied automatically after updating.

Have you tried updating your BIOS? Sometimes that can make a difference in RAM speeds.

I actually did update it before enabling EXPO.
