Why is my RTX 3050 crashing after the 5000 series launch?

I'm using an HP Victus with a 12650H processor and an RTX 3050. Since the release of the 5000 series GPUs, I've been experiencing constant crashes while playing three games: Wuthering Waves, Zenless Zone Zero, and Valorant. It was less frequent before the release, but now it's nearly unplayable, crashing every five minutes. Has anyone else faced this issue or know how to fix it?

You might want to try using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to cleanly uninstall your current driver, then reinstall the most stable version of the driver you can find. It's a good way to make sure that no leftover issues are affecting your graphics. Just be cautious with this tool, and follow the instructions carefully!

What’s DDU, and how can I know which driver is the latest stable one? I'm not super tech-savvy.

DDU is a tool used to completely remove graphics drivers. As for the good driver, check Nvidia’s website for the driver section; they usually list stable versions with notes.

It sounds like you might be experiencing problems due to the new 5000 series drivers. A lot of users have reported that since the release, the driver updates have been pretty buggy. It seems Nvidia is mainly focusing on fixing issues for their latest cards, which can leave older models like yours with unresolved problems. You’re definitely not alone in this!

Thanks for the info! It's frustrating to see these issues after an update.

Yeah, it's like all the older cards get left behind. I feel you!
