Why Is My Ryzen 7 5700G with RTX 3080 Ti Only Hitting 300 FPS in Games?

Hey everyone! I recently built a PC with a Ryzen 7 5700G CPU and an RTX 3080 Ti EVGA Ultra FTW3, paired with 16GB of 2666MHz RAM. However, I've noticed that in games like Valorant and CS2, my frame rates aren't exceeding 300 FPS. I'm curious about what might be causing this limitation. Any insights would be appreciated! Thanks!

300 FPS is already pretty solid! The human eye really can’t perceive much difference beyond 250 FPS anyway. So, if you're hitting that mark, you’re in great shape. But if you’re seeing others with similar builds hitting higher frames, it might just be specific setup optimizations or benchmarks!

It seems like the Ryzen 7 5700G is somewhat capped due to its design, which is more akin to a laptop CPU. This could be why you’re not getting the performance you expect when paired with the RTX 3080 Ti. You might want to look into overclocking options or checking your thermal management to help maximize the CPU's performance.

I know it sounds crazy, but hitting 300 FPS isn’t bad at all! Many pros play at lower FPS. Still, if you’ve seen others with similar builds getting better numbers, make sure to check settings or any background tasks that could be using CPU/GPU resources.
