Why is my SSD not showing up in the BIOS?

I've just built my first PC and installed a new Samsung Pro 990 2TB SSD, but it's not appearing in the BIOS at all. I've made sure it's securely connected three times and even updated to the latest BIOS version. My setup includes an MSI RTX 4070 Ti, an ASUS ROG Strix B850-F WiFi 7 motherboard, an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D CPU, Corsair Dominator Titanium RGB DDR5 RAM (2x24GB), and a 1000W PSU. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this?

You should check if CSM (Compatibility Support Module) is enabled or disabled in your BIOS settings. I had a similar issue recently and turning that setting helped me detect my drives correctly.

I see that the Boot/CSM option is currently set to disabled. Should I try enabling it?

Honestly, the Samsung 990 Pro can be a bit finicky. If it’s not showing up at all and you just bought it, it might be worth considering if it's defective. Have you thought about returning it?

I just got it yesterday, so I’m wondering if it’s already DOA.

Have you checked if the SSD is initialized and given a drive letter in Disk Management? Usually, you need to access Windows to do that, but it might be worth looking into once you can get past the BIOS.

I can't even get into Disk Management since I’m stuck at the BIOS F2 menu right now.
