I've got a brand-new Dell Pro 14 Plus for work, but I'm experiencing really slow internet speeds. Running a speed test on my mobile shows 162/65, while my old personal laptop is getting 25/5. I expect the older laptop to be slow, but this new one is only reaching 2/22! It's baffling that the upload speed is higher than the download. On top of that, my signal strength isn't great compared to other devices nearby. To make matters worse, there's no Ethernet port on the laptop. I know VPNs could be a factor, but is there something else going on here? Any help would be appreciated!

First off, check to see if your laptop's WiFi drivers are up to date; that could solve the problem right away. If not, take a peek inside to make sure the WiFi card is snug and the antennas are hooked up properly. Sometimes that's all it needs!
Definitely start by submitting an IT ticket. They’re qualified to help you sort out these issues, and it’s usually the best route to follow!
Have you tried reaching out to your IT department? That’s their responsibility, and they might be able to troubleshoot this for you. I’ve helped folks with similar issues by either going to their home or guiding them through some checks.
Cheers, I’ll give them a shout!
Thanks! I’ll ask IT about the drivers and see if they’ll let me check the hardware.
