Why is one fan in my laptop more powerful than the other?

I've noticed that in my Acer Nitro V 16" with a Ryzen 7, 16GB RAM, and GeForce RTX 4060, one of the fans works better than the other since day one. It doesn't cause any issues, but I'm curious about why that is. Can anyone explain?

It's pretty normal for laptop fans to have different specs. The faster fan is designed to manage higher thermal loads, while the other one might be sufficient for lighter tasks. As long as you’re not experiencing overheating, you’re good!

Right! It’s all about balancing performance needs. As long as the temps are fine, differences in fan speed aren’t a big deal.

When you're talking about fans, 'better' usually refers to RPM (revolutions per minute). The right fan can hit about 6000 RPM, while the left one only reaches around 5100 RPM. This difference in speed can affect how well each fan cools your laptop, with the faster one generally being more effective.

Interesting! I guess that makes sense. So, is it a problem if one is consistently slower?
