I've noticed that whenever I turn my phone on, the green camera dot is visible. It disappears when I unlock the phone, but I'm confused about why it appears in the first place. Can anyone explain what's going on?

If you have Face ID, that green dot could be caused by the TrueDepth sensor activating when you turn your phone on—it’s part of unlocking your iPhone.

But doesn't the TrueDepth system not trigger the green dot? I've seen that it seems to appear when I swipe up, which might accidentally open the camera. Since I stopped swiping, I haven’t noticed it again.
