We're facing a frustrating issue with users trying to log into our Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environment. After they enter their passwords and click 'ok', the authentication dialog freezes and shows 'Not Responding' for about 5 to 8 minutes before finally logging them in. Occasionally, rebooting the system seems to fix the problem temporarily, but the issue usually returns by the next morning. We've already tried troubleshooting by purging the Kerberos cache and clearing the Credential Manager to rule out any bad credentials. Interestingly, web access works fine; the problem only occurs when logging in through the Windows app. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

You might want to check the release health status for Windows 11. There's a known issue that could be affecting Azure environments. It's definitely not just you facing this authentication delay, and Microsoft is aware of it. Keeping your system updated while monitoring their updates would be wise.
It sounds like you might be impacted by a recent Windows update, specifically KB5074109. Users have reported that this update is causing authentication failures in Azure Virtual Desktop when using the Windows application. They get an 'authentication error' message after pressing connect, which suggests it's a wider issue rather than something wrong with individual setups. A lot of administrators are experiencing similar problems, and the workaround might be to uninstall that update for now while a fix gets sorted out.
