I just bought a new PC and everything was going great until I woke up this morning. My ethernet connection has mysteriously stopped working, even though it was fine just hours before. I'v tried a bunch of troubleshooting steps: I checked my ethernet cable for any damage and it seemed fine, went into my computer settings and CMD to check for updates, and even tested my old PC to see if it was an isolated issue, but the ethernet wasn't working there either. I tried a different cable, restarted my router, and tested all the ports, but nothing has helped. My WiFi is still active on my phone, but my PC shows no signs of activity from the ethernet port. I really doubt there's a hardware issue since the new PC was functioning perfectly until now. Anyone have suggestions?

This sounds like it could be a router issue. Sometimes they can be a bit finicky and need a reset or even a replacement if they fail. I’d suggest contacting support and seeing if they can switch out your router for a new one if that’s the case. Good luck!
Have you checked the device manager on your PC? Go to Network Adapters, select your adapter, and look under power management. Uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" if it’s checked. Sometimes that can cause issues with connections.
I checked that already, and it was turned off, but it’s still not working.
Yeah, I thought the same! It might be worth trying. Hope it gets resolved soon!
