I sold my friend my old AMD 7800XT for his current build, but when he installed it, his system powered on with fans running, yet there was no display, and he couldn't even access the BIOS. We're trying to figure out what might be going wrong. I'm starting to suspect it could be a compatibility issue with his motherboard, which is an ASRock A320M-HDV. Is this motherboard too old to support the GPU?

Are both power cables for the GPU fully connected and secure? Also, double-check that the GPU is properly seated in the PCIe slot.
When troubleshooting, try turning on the system and pressing "Y" on the keyboard to see if that does anything. Also, make sure to check the motherboard battery and reset the BIOS if you still can't get a video signal.
I don't think compatibility is an issue between the motherboard and the GPU. They should work together just fine.

Yes, both power cables are connected and the card is seated correctly.
