My girlfriend's second monitor has stopped working. She has been using a DisplayPort for her first monitor and an HDMI for her second. Recently, she bought a new monitor, but it still doesn't function properly. She's tried connecting it with both DisplayPort and HDMI but without success. She ensures everything is plugged into her graphics card ports and not the motherboard. Does anyone have any suggestions?

It might help to try different combinations of ports on the monitor and GPU, and even on the motherboard if you haven't already. Make sure to switch out the cables too, as one of them could be faulty. Good luck!
Just to clarify, why are you monitoring your girlfriend? 😄 But seriously, is the new monitor set to a different refresh rate than what the computer is configured for? Also, double-check that all the cables are securely connected. A graphics driver reinstall could also be useful.
She's trying to refresh the graphics driver now. I'm pretty sure the cables are connected properly, and the new monitor has a refresh rate of 180hz while her first one is at 240hz, so I don't think that's the issue.

Quick question: does she see any display at all if she presses the buttons on the monitor? It could help narrow down the issue.
