Why isn’t my iPhone 14 being recognized by my PC?

I'm having trouble with my iPhone 14 running iOS 16.1. When I connect it to my PC, I don't see the "trust this computer" prompt that usually appears, and my phone only charges without being recognized. I've tried resetting the location and privacy settings, network settings, and even performed a force restart, but nothing seems to work. I ensured there are no content and privacy restrictions enabled. To make sure it's not my PC, I tried connecting it to my brother's computer, which recognized his iPhone immediately. In the device manager on both PCs, my phone doesn't show up either. I've also tried different USB ports and used both an Anker and an Apple lightning cable, but still no luck. What else can I do?

There are some troubleshooting steps listed on Apple's support site for resolving this issue. Even if you've tried them already, double-checking might help!

I just followed all the steps in that article again, but still nothing. It’s getting really frustrating.

Have you used a different cable? Sometimes, just switching it up can solve connection issues, even if it seems like a long shot.

Have you checked if your PC makes any sounds when plugging in your phone? Windows should play a device connect sound. It might also be worth trying a different cable just to rule that out.

Yeah, my brother's phone triggers the sound, but mine doesn't. I've tried multiple cables, including both a good Anker and the original Apple one, but no difference.
