I recently purchased a new 1TB Intel NVMe SSD (model SSDPEMKF010T8) and installed it in my AMD PC, but it's not being recognized by either the BIOS or Windows. I can't find it in Device Manager, Diskpart, or anywhere else. To troubleshoot, I put the SSD into my Intel laptop and tried using the Intel Rapid Storage Technology drivers from a thumb drive during Windows boot, but the drive still isn't detected. Both of my PCs support NVMe m.2 storage, so I'm confused about what's going wrong. Interestingly, even though I can't see the drive in Windows boot, it appears as an "X" drive when I try to load drivers, suggesting it may have Windows installed on it. Is there any way to force wipe this drive to make it usable?

That 'X' drive you're seeing isn’t your SSD; it’s just part of the Windows installation media. Make sure the drive is seated correctly and check if there are any BIOS settings related to NVMe or M.2 slots that need enabling.
Sounds like you might've been scammed if you got it from eBay! At least you got a refund, but it would be worth figuring out if the drive is really faulty or something else is going on. Have you tried testing it in another slot if your motherboard has multiple M.2 connectors?
Yeah, that SSD was released in 2018, so it might be a used or refurbished unit. It's possible it's been sitting around or has internal issues. My advice is to always buy SSDs from reputable sellers if possible. At this point, if it’s not working in multiple devices, it’s likely faulty.
