I recently installed a new hard drive, but it doesn't appear in Disk Management for formatting. I initially thought it might be a cable issue, so I replaced the SATA cable, but that didn't help. Does anyone have any idea what could be going wrong?

Could be helpful to add some photos of your setup to troubleshoot better. What exactly do you want to show?
Sometimes, motherboards disable certain SATA ports depending on other drives you've got connected. What motherboard are you using?
